Mother Martha Morris graduated from Manual High and Vocational School in June, 1959. After graduating high school she joined the United States Marine Corps in October of the same year. In 1964, Mother Martha was honorably discharged and returned to civilian life.
She is the fun-loving mother of six children: three boys and three girls, all of which are adults. She has 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Their relationship and interaction typically consists of uncontainable laughter, loud conversations, lots of noise, faith, love, and unending food. In her own word, “It’s Wild!”
Mother Martha never meets a stranger. Her positive upbeat attitude offers encouragement and hope to everyone she meets. While Mother Martha is not exempt from the struggles, crisises, and trials that are common to man, she counts them all joy knowing that it’s just the trying of her faith. For she knows in Whom she believes, so in Faith, she rests deeply.
In 2011, Mother Martha was introduced to The Body of Jesus Christ Kingdom Ministries at a Seniors Highrise Apartment Building where The Ministry was hosting Its Sunday Morning Worship. After a couple of Sundays, she joined the Ministry and has served faithfully and functions as a Ministry Prayer Leader and the Missouri’s State Agent. Her humble and grateful testimony is, “this has been the best change I have ever made in life.”
God has bestowed Mother Martha with the gift of writing and articulating poetry with such depths, that the wisdom, heart, love, and creation of God is portrayed unto her listening audience in an undeniably manner. Her passion is the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and she loves the Lord and enjoys reading and studying the Word of God. Mother Martha has always loved people and now is able to extend and express that love through the Power of Prayer.
Mother Martha truly believes Phillipians 4:6-7, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Debbra Williams comes from a long line of Pastors and Ministry Giftings. As a child her father, who was also her childhood Pastor, would call on Debbra to offer prayer in their home. He would also take her to various church services and exposed her to prayer meetings as well as have her lead prayer. While the church scene was no strange occurrence to Debbra, God was. She was a faithful but nominal Baptist church goer. She knew church, religious tradition, rituals, and customs, but not The Lord of The Church. Therefore, she lived for years powerless, defeated, steeped in sin, and in multiple bondages. Her church exposure and experiences had left her wondering if God was just a figure stuck in Bible pages – was He even real? Did He have a genuine interest in His creation? Would He have anything to do with a woman of her kind?
On October 6, 1985, at the age of 32 and after Sunday morning service, the dissatisfaction of Debbra’s wanting soul and pull of The Father redirected and reordered her steps to a small Pentecostal Church down the street and on the corner. Like a sheep clueless to what was coming, Debbra sent her daughters on home on the church van and willfully followed the Invisible Leadership of The Good Shepherd. Nervously, she entered the little Pentecostal church and took a seat in the back. As she listened, Debbra heard a lady sharing a testimony that was identical to her own. The Sister told how God Graciously delivered her. Consumed with condemnation and rejection and with tears running down her face, Debbra reluctantly thought to herself, “God would never dirty Himself to fool with me, for I am the worst of the worst.”
At this point and with disgust, Debbra got up to leave, but the Sister who had shared her testimony walked up behind her, placed her hand on Debbra’s shoulder, and arrested her in The Name of The Lord. The Sister told her that God had a Gift for her, but Debbra protested, “not for me.” The Sister reassured her of God’s personal interest in her and at that very moment Debbra was broken, yielded, and baptized in Jesus Name, not only in water, but in The Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as she staggered like a drunkard under the influence. Thankful, but still not satisfied, Debbra asked, “What else? Is this all there is? Where’s the power of God?” Since that time, Debbra has witnessed The Power of God as He has Lovingly obliged her again and again. The following week, Debbra began being trained daily with the assistant of another Sister from that little Pentecostal Church. She trained for the next four consecutive years at 4:00 p.m. in the Discipline of Prayer. God called it, “Her Set Time”!
Debbra, knows the abuse of religious agendas and the manipulation of humanism and manmade directives concerning her gift of Intercession. Greater than that, she knows the horrid pain, excruciating displeasure and grieving anguish of The Holy Spirit regarding wayward man, his rebellion, and his ignorant and blatant idolatry. Through Holy Communion, the ongoing development of Intimacy and experiencing His Unfathomable Love, Matchless Mercy, Authentic Grace, Powerful Pleasure, and His anguish of Spirit, Debbra guards her heart and Gift with all diligence, that she may walk worthy of the vocation wherewith she has been called and thereby, walk worthy of The Lord unto all pleasing unto Him Alone Who has called her unto His Kingdom and Glory.
In addition to being a Prophetess and Intercessor, Debbra is also a mother. She has three daughters, all of which are adults, as well as nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, with one on the way. Debbra is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) with 30 years’ experience in the healthcare field. She also holds a licensure of ordination in the Christian Faith from Faith Bible College.
